Contest is now officially reopened?

Well, I started working on my new doujinshi, and I quickly came to realize just how freakin' long and time consuming these things are. Even though I have done doujinshi before, I guess it just didn't dawn on me how long they take.

So I decided to completely reopen the contest. The new due date is July 31.

All the old rules apply:

The prompt is... Ash, Misty, or Gary (or all of the above) have returned from the grave as a ghost. Everything else is up to you. You wanna make it pokeshippy, go ahead. Prefer not to? That's fine. What I'm looking for is good writing and a creative idea.

If you have a preference on someone else being a ghost, run it by me. And I'll let you know if it's okay. If I don't really know the character, I might not allow it- simply because it might count that against you when it comes to judging. And I'd like it to be fair for everyone!

Manga artists, make sure the manga is a small enough size for you to handle (5 to 10 pages would be probably be a safe goal). I'll also be looking for good dialogue, and creative ideas. Beautiful art is also a plus! (If you are a non-native english speaker, let me know. I won't count grammar or spelling against you in that case... cause that would just be mean.)

I've also added a NEW SECTION- for those of you that don't have time to write or draw an entire a manga. I've added a piece for you. Just draw a picture depicting Ash, Misty, or Gary as ghosts. I will have to be stricter with this section and say it has to be one of the three above.

First Prize for Fiction:

A one shot of your choice written by yours truly of pokemon genre. And I'd prefer to stick with Indigo League characters and pokemon. And please know that my shippy is Ash and Misty but I'll be willing to do Misty and Gary (and Ash and Gary if you want something humorous). You could also ask for the manga art prize instead- if you would rather I draw a scene from your fiction piece.

First Prize for Manga Art and Fan Art:

A traditional art piece colored by me from a scene of your manga (unless you'd prefer the fiction prize).

Manga Art and Fan Art each get separate winners.

I'd prefer not to take pieces that you've already written (if I've seen it before). I'd like it more if you made something new for the contest!

1) Can we only enter one thing?

You can enter multiple submissions to both sides of the contest, but you'll only win one prize.

2) And can we enter collabs?

And yes you can enter collabs. And I'll give prizes to both artists so long as both artists are members on DA. I need to make sure they are two different people. No cheating now!

3) How do we submit to you? A note with a link inside, or some other way?

Submit your pictures and fiction via link inside a note. Or by just posting on the wall of my profile. Or a comment in this journal too would work. Either is fine. So long as I get it. Note will probably get my attention faster.

4) I'm not very good at uploading to deviantart. I can never get all my italics and stuff to come out right. Can I submit to fanfiction?

I'd prefer if you submitted to DA so I can add it to my collection so that others can see your work. But if you really must submit to fanfiction.net- I can make an exception.

5) You said it's fine to have other characters as a ghost, am I allowed to use other characters that AREN'T ghosts?

You are more than welcome to have as many obscure characters as you'd like. So long as the main characters are Ash Misty or Gary. I have no problem with other characters making an appearance.
