If you haven't read New Moon, this might be confusing.

Edward dumped Bella at the beginning of New Moon- as he rightfully should. And Bella went insane. She quickly discovered (after three or four months of white space) that if she put herself in danger, she'd be able to hear Edward's voice. So here I am, making fun of her obvious insanity.
