OK, OWM <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/g/g…" width="17" height="15" alt=":giggle:" title="Giggle" />
Hi first <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="25" height="20" alt=":wave:" title="Hi!" /> XD° I'm not so good in writing English critiques (means understandable and without missunderstandings) but I'll try anyway...

As I saw in your scraps you tried a new color-design and art-style. May I'm able to say: You see that A LOT! You have more details in it as usual and the skin seems soft and full of life. You set some shadings really good.

Maybe a tip for the shadows: The little Misty has this quite well. For the big Misty it would've become a great effect if you had made shadows under her pony tail. So it doesn't look like "really" the hair is on her head. The face is shaded very well, but the hair is missing on the skin.
What I really like are the light effects in Misty's hair. It looks wonderful.

Also Ash's look fine though. Only aspect I can say to him: You only gave him two direct colors in his hair. Try to experiment and give him some more then only "white-light"-effects <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" /> Maybe a touch of brown or as I do blue. You will see, the hair will look more lively and 2D-3D. Also it's fun to do that <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/g/g…" width="17" height="15" alt=":giggle:" title="Giggle" />

Same for shading is with the clothes. You shaded it well, but I think in your style the "problem" (it's YOUR style, I only wanted to tell you how I handle it) is you only make linearts "with one line". If you would make some lines "into" the clothes (not so thick as the main outlines) before you make the shadows and shading it would look more like "both parts fit together". So it only seems so, you have colored it, but it's not "one" and same part. (Damn to explain... Sorry...)

What I also like very much are their faces. It looks really realistic to me: Misty a lil bit aggressive, but soft at the same time and Ash sheepish and unsure. It's the exactly Pokeshipping-Touch! CUTE!!

A BIG PLUS POINT to me is you made this bag!! You have thinking for detail! Awesome! And it's great you see what it shall be, also the content.

In this picture the background fits perfect. It's dark and the characters shine really out of it so they are the main point. I think it looks great to see both are in a cave.

So keep it up! I really like it a lot.
And although you said you can't to this coloring so often, 'cause it needs to much time (OMG how I can understand that ;__; ), I really hopw you will continue practising and trying out this style. I'm sure you will become it fantastic (and you know I like your style in any way).

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt=":clap:" title="Clap" />
Keep it up, I only can say that again <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="15" height="15" alt=":nod:" title="Nod" />
And I hope you understood all here right <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=":worry:" title="Worried" />
